Lucky Me

Lucky Me

A Poem by Whiskurz

Did you know I have two houses?
I even have a second car
Some people even wish they were me
But I wouldn't go that far
I even have two swimming pools
Of course they're in separate yards
Everybody says I'm just lucky
Or in must have been in the cards
I even have two sets of friends
I've been told it's quite unique
I try to see them as often as I can
Though we hardly ever speak
Did I tell that I have two pets
One is a dog, the other a cat
And Every time I leave my house
They're wondering where I'm at
In case you haven't guessed by now
I have two of everything of course
Because you see, I not lucky at all
I'm another child of divorce

Very touching poem! I liked it. :)

So many kids go through divorce with their parents. Never easy on anyone concerned.
Perhaps though, better to have two, than one where the silence is only broken by fighting.
This is a great poem that flows extremely well about a content that at best, is a touchy subject for a lot of people.
Job well done.
