The Memories On My Sleeve

The Memories On My Sleeve

A Poem by Whiskurz

I found another memory today
I wiped it on my sleeve
The memory when you said goodbye
The day you decided to leave
The memories I have are starting to fade
And some, I've kept for years
But slowly I'm begining to let them go
Each time that I wipe my tears
I never knew that memories were tears
Or is it the other way around?
I know that your memory keeps coming back
In every tear that I've found
A teardrop can hold the good times and bad
Just memories that didn't last
I know when I feel a tear on my cheek
That one more memory has passed
I found another memory today
But this time I didn't cry
I remember telling you, "Don't come back"
The day that you told me goodbye

Good and bad memories can bring a flood of tears. Either way you read this, it is an excellent poem.

Love your poem, but for me I would change it from saying goodbye, to when you were taken away.
