The Stranger

The Stranger

A Poem by Whiskurz

He came from no where in particular
Just a stranger passing through
When ladies passed, he'd tip his hat
And bid them,"How do you do"
A handsome man who lived alone
In a cabin outside of town
But rumor had it that a dam had broke
As he watched his family drown
When they asked him where he came from
He mumbled, "Here and there"
For this stranger had too many secrets
That he wasn't about to share
The day had come, he packed his things
And left the town behind
Three days later the dam would break
Drowning people of every kind
In another town a few miles away
A stranger came passing through
When ladies passed, he'd tip his hat
And bid them,"How do you do"

Not a stranger I'd like to have in town, even though the nearest dam is miles away!!
