Three Little Words

What’s hidden yet within plain view?
Perhaps it is my love for you,
perhaps it is me not knowing
the love I feel my eyes are showing
or how at times my faltered speech
lingers soft within your reach
hoping you become aware
of the love that’s waiting there,
yet if you don’t to my dismay
perhaps I’ll have to simply say
and hope that you don’t misconstrue
three little words that end with you.
