Web of lies
Born from strife
A tale we spin
About our life

Glory and glamour born from
Gore and slander
A pretty lie to hide
The pain from life

A thousand words
For a deceitful picture
'I'm fine' is as much as a lie
As a smile from a suicide

An inner war
Snip after snip
Smile after smile
The truth is so far

Year upon year
The truth is here
You never know life
Until you lie with a smile hiding a knife
