Frozen Memories

I walk down my old street

where tarnished leaves fall

I breathe in the sharp air

and frozen memories thaw

My childhood unfolds before me

there is laughter in my ears

I chuckle at my emotion

as my eyes fill up with tears

How grand those days were

Simplicity and a wide smile on my face

I had no worry of the troubles

that would someday take place

Emotions value the words & words come forward for the appreciation of memories. This beautiful poetry of the day takes me to my own past-memories and the one word comes ahead from there's "time" for letting me know, "the past's gone... even your present's keep going on. Don't control it. More you tryna control, more you loose it off. So, you better keep walking with it." I understand this poem. I did the same. I went to the places where I was sound and sound once. As adults we learn the troubles of life. Nice flow of thoughts led to the logical ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
