Last GoodbyeA Poem by Laura3841A silent tear rolls down my cheek as I remove the last picture from the wall I take a deep breath and look down our hall That was the floor that held our footsteps and let to the rooms where our memories were kept As I glance around our empty home it becomes hard to swallow This is the day to erase our dreams and find a new tomorrow I feel my failure slap me in the face This marriage is over It's a hopeless case Today I will move on and try to not look back It's way past time to get myself on track With Pepto Bismol in one hand and a cigarette in the other I'll say goodbye one last time and go live with my mother. © 2014 Laura3841Reviews
