Big, Bad Wolf

Big, Bad Wolf

A Poem by Lauren Pearl
"

Pantoum written back in 2005 during the Bush Admin.

"
Who is afraid of the wolf? Big and bad--
With saliva dripping from his teeth.
Even the tallest strongest lad,
He will draw his sword from its sheath.

With saliva dripping from his teeth,
He strikes terror into all men.
He will draw his sword from its sheath.
He lures them into his den.

He strikes terror into all men,
With his propaganda and lies.
He lures them into his den,
To tell them a plan where the enemy dies.

With his propaganda and lies,
He misleads the ones who believe.
To tell them a plan where the enemy dies,
Shows how easy it is to deceive.

He misleads the ones who believe,
When he is the danger to us all.
Shows how easy it is to deceive,
As for fallacy after fallacy we fall.

When he is the danger to us all ,
We fell victim to his scheme.
As for fallacy after fallacy we fall,
We have lost the American dream.

We fell victim to his scheme,
Even the tallest, strongest lad.
We have lost the American dream
Who is afraid of the wolf-- big and bad.

I rather enjoyed this piece and it just goes to show how great pantoums can be. It was quite an interesting read.
"As for fallacy after fallacy we fall,
We have lost the American dream."
I absolutely loved that and I hope to read more of your poetry soon!
