Ugly, Chic or So

Ugly, Chic or So

A Poem by LisaCarol
"

What intentions are in your words?

"

SO shy was I.

I rarely spoke.

Observantly, I listened.

Inflections and tones

Words unknown.

Cognizant of intentions.

Users manipulate,

Greedy deceive,

Loathsome enrage,

Yappers annoy.

Curious coax,

Happy joke,

Intelligent teach,

Compassionate sooth.

Observantly, I listened.

And when I finally spoke,

The room completely quiet.

My words just SO.

Neither ugly nor chic.

Straightforward and

Objective.

Hi Starr - thank you for stopping by and reviewing. I appreciate your kind, thoughtful words.
I loved this, wonderful rendition of what it's like for those who choose their words with quality instead of carelessness. Great work.
