Like YouA Poem by Alexa L. DravenEvery single thing about you, I admire, but this attraction may be dire. I want to stitch your skin unto my own, make picture frames out of your bones. I want to gouge out your eyes, so, I can shed your tears when I cry. I want to extract your teeth to replace my piano keys, I want your skull as a bank to keep my money. I want to use your blood as paint for my nails, I'll preserve your existence, you'll never go stale. I want to attach your hair unto my head, I'll carry out the life you have led. I want to use your hands as a place to keep my rings, I want to put your vocal chords in my music box to hear you sing. I want to be exactly who you are, I'll keep all your organs in glass jars. I want to act the way you do, I want to be just like you. © 2013 Alexa L. Draven |
