The Odd OneA Poem by Alexa L. DravenI wrote when I was in middle school about 17 years ago. This is actually the very first poem I ever wrote.
Misunderstood and left out,
"Freak!" everyone shouts. Alone and miserable, everyone is critical. Pale skin and dark, sunken eyes, No one ever says hi. Frizzy hair, Everyone stares. Sad and gloom, Looks like it stepped out of a tomb. It lives alone in an old, dark house, No one is there, not even a mouse. It lives on the dark side of town, No one ever comes around. All it wants is happiness, All it ever gets is sadness. It has no family, So this story doesn't end happily. © 2025 Alexa L. Draven |
