VampireA Poem by Alexa L. DravenJust a fun poem I wrote as a teenager.
By night, I'm wide awake,
The lives of mortals, I'll soon take. I thirst for the sweet nectar of blood, Accepted by the Devil, condemned by God. My heart is stone and no longer beats, I watch my prey as I stalk the streets. My soul is eternally lost and dead, I won't stop until my hunger is fed. I crave the scent of terror they feel, A wonderful appetizer for a delicious meal. I pick off any innocent soul I can find, I have no feelings for the human kind. I may seem like a delicate and weak sight, But you'll know better when you feel my bite. I lure men with lust and desire, Not knowing I'm a cold-blooded vampire. My deadly weapons are my knife-like teeth, Piercing their fragile flesh until they no longer breathe. I continue until their veins are bone dry, I look into their frightened eyes as they die. Their screams are like music to my ears, I am every mortal's terrifying fear. When the sun rises, my day comes to an end, But once night begins, I start the cycle again. © 2025 Alexa L. Draven |
