Silhouettes

Silhouettes

A Poem by Vertigo

Etched on your skin like silhouettes with the shadows of autumn leaves and skeletal trees that sway and sway with you...how can I reach you when you're nothing but a ghost of a memory in my minds eye...we are dimmed at the seams though no one can see it...this air I breathe can't be real and the light I see in transparency as though we're living with a dying sun...Our lives misplaced with every step and every ache that has lost its edge and every break that barely heals...even when it is etched on your skin...the silhouettes...
