Hazel Eyed BeautyA Poem by Lee LeeA poem I wrote while my daughters father was away.Hazel blues stair up at me Confused, watery and sad, Easily asking all of her questions, a spitting image of her dad.
Dirty blonde hair falls in locks Down her tiny back. Softer then silk, bright as the sun. Beauty she'll never lack.
But now she cries for her daddy, And I tell her he'll be home soon. Baby he loves you so very much, If you wanted he'd bring you the moon.
I wrap my arms around her, Protecting her now MY duty. Until...finally...her father comes home, And takes care of his hazel eyed beauty. © 2010 Lee Lee |
