Friendship

the people that stand with you are worthy of being called your friends

What is a friend?

A friend is one who stands with you through your worst days,

shares your pain,

engages in laughter,

A friend is someone with a bond so strong,

you consider them your own.

 

I've learn't that not everyone,

who smiles and talks,

may be your friend,

some just want to gossip on the other end.

 

I'm tired of the excuses,

you knew in advance,

you considered me your friend,

we shared our lives,

had dinner,

went on girls limes*,

yet you missed my wedding?

 

Trust is something we work hard to keep,

yet you betrayed my trust,

now when you ask me to go out,

should I make it a must?

 

I'm done pretending,

sorry but the ones who consider me,

are the ones I'm gonna respect,

not the users,

the fake friends.

The ones who find time for me,

are deemed worthy enough of the title 'friend'.

We all needs friends in our lives. A true friendship is a real joy, but there are 'users' out there who come across as friends, only for their own ends. Thanks for sharing.
