A unique format made this fun to read.....the stanzas in red, to me, are like a narrator speaking his piece, and then his voice fades away in time for the vignettes of dialogue.
I can easily see this acted out on a stage with spot lighting alternating between Jane & John Doe and the narrator, who is off to the side.
A wonderfully insightful write about the cycles of love and human relationships.
Legacy, are you serious? You really wrote that? I'm at a complete loss for words. You literally took my breath away! Why didn't you ever tell me about this site, you butt monkey?!
a very beautiful detailed write full of the deep questions we all ask at some point in a relationship, love is always needed and sometimes it is answered forever and at others it is only skin deep, a physical attraction, i enjoyed reading this, it is a very interesting write,,more than just poetry, a vision of life and love,,blessings..Cecil
No, true love never dies. "Him", I will forever love. That love is tangled between us now though I am working on untangling it and taking it back to set him free. The love I have for him is mine, (I have owned it for 35 years, through 2 marriages) it is my love. The love he has for me is his love - - the dance between us not meant to be, and he also is setting me free. Still, this love never dies.........and I will hang the picture in my new home.
wow!!!!! thats just the first word should i say wow again that was really great u know that just helped me figure out onn how to formate one of my poems thank and again that was a really deep but yet there interacting it poem i like this one
Could you spend your life, 24 hours a day with the one you Love? - Can we say CoDependent? Very excellent write...well thought out and thought-provoking...Great job.
We all seem to spend years of our lives running around this circle. True love seems more like a mirage than any tangible relationship. I love the style of this poem. It was unique, with a very familiar feeling, if that makes any sense. Anyway I really enjoyed it, thanks for sharing this!
wow...this is really really good! i love how it switches from narrative to people speaking, as if to prove the point the narrator is making. this is very well done and beautifully written, kudos to you!! :D
Wow, I like this a lot, what I got from it is that we need to really see in side of the one that we love.
Know them as well as we know ourselves, for we don't then we might loose the one person that we really care about.
I adore the unusual layout of this peice. I think, if you'd have presented it differently I'd have been bored, but the shifts in font colour, style, and size definitely drew me in.
I like the way you have speakers throughout, too, in between the stanzas.
That was quite a unique idea.
A very interesting and remarkable peice.
Love it.
