Perfecshion

A piece about true perfecshion. Yes, I know it is spelled perfection, but it is in keeping with the theme of the poem.

Perfecshion

 

Deception wanes

With the travesty of time.

Those condiments of embellishment

Used by the establishment,

Cast aside, we should, with prejudism

and a preference

Towards realization.

Age-defying is an illusive reflection

Staining the perfecshion beneath.

Bare the truth

That this masquerade is an unbearable foolishness.

Endure and embrace

This humanity whole-heartedly.

Flawed and fallible,

A perfecshion designed by God, the Almighty.

The piece flowed well, and I generally genuinely liked it. I was thrown off a wee bit, by the word itself though. I could not help but draw a conclusion that this world is perfect in the eyes of some drunken God.
