What do you call it

What do you call it

A Poem by Lena

I miss something that was never there,
Following footsteps not guiding to place,
Shifting through faces I’ve never got to know,
Falling through glass I haven’t ever broke,
Somewhere between the You and the Me
Was something we never called anything,
Something so special without a name,
Too shy for lovers, too deep for friends,
What do you call it when someone asks,
Getting the facts we’re miles apart,
Normally close, but mentally not,
The night you left me started it all,
I was just crying, hoping it’s not real,
Turns out I’m nothing, when you are everything.
