Let it go

Let it go

A Poem by Lena

Don’t look down, it wasn’t your fault.
Try once again, get up from the fall.
You were just a kid,
didn’t know what to do,
Too many dreams for someone like you.
The everyday joy of being alive,
Fading with ever word from your mouth.
This body’s too small for your heavy heart,
Too many feelings, caught at the same time.
Why won’t you say it, feel free once again,
Don’t bottle up, if you want to change.
All the small pieces resolving your skin
Might just blend into something unreal.
Please stop the time, then go back to past,
Let me feel younger just one last time.
Just once again before I can fall,
Close my eyes slowly, let everything go.

I liked your poem, the ending hit hard. I think we all would travel back just to feel the peace, and also thrill, of being young again.

Thank you so much, I totally agree- we all sometimes just want to go back. ❤️
