Love you heaps

I may not be able to Multi-task, but you are my one and all.

 

Love you heaps

 

Please have patience my darling one,
I’m only but a man.
I cannot multi-task my dear,
and I don’t like frying pans.

It’s okay, if you would care to cook,
as my meals are often torched.
Just like the eggs on toast, this morn,
The bread was somewhat scorched.

You often ask, if your dress looks great,
I haven’t got a clue.
I say, “yes great”, but I can’t relate,
You do what you got to do.

Sometimes your words are haunting,
like, marriage and a honeymoon.
I need a bottle of Whiskey,
when I hear that same old tune.

But honey dear, I love you heaps,
and your wish is my command.
Just don’t expect me to be quick,
and please, please don’t, demand.

Ahh, fantastic! I was quite happy with the length of the poem, and the humour comes through brilliantly in this. I'm not the best at reviewing and understanding poems, so I'm glad this one seems straight forward and clear in what it's trying to achieve; something perhaps all men can relate to! It made me chuckle, so I think it's brilliant.
