A Dry-Stone Wall Near Coleraine

A Dry-Stone Wall Near Coleraine

A Poem by Leslie Philibert
"

for Seamus Heaney

"
as if the pale stones
share the warmth
between two sides;
sea and field cut,
early light and full morning;
the path weathered and slow.

I think Leslie this strikes me with two different perspectives. Firsty a simple description of a dry stone wall in the warmth of the morning sun where a walker may simply ramble at leisure. Secondly the wall between two sides seems to describe 'the troubles' and the long path to resoloution. Enjoyable in either context.

Descriptive thoughts in only so many words of this write...and the title of this gives us a bit more to relate in the verse...would be good if we had a picture of the scene...
