Maria voll der Gnade

Maria voll der Gnade

A Poem by Leslie Philibert
"

as it is

"
You are a shadow
Outside in the timber

Dancing as a wicked virgin,
You throw me like a

Kitten against a wall
Or wait like a freight train

In the night, frozen under
Stars, haloed with steam;

And when your drained face
Is flightingly seen at distance;

There outside, grace unknown.

A drained face seen at a distance...a kitten thrown against a wall, deep expressions of differences in each of us. Valentine

A very creative and description poem. The words are powerful.
People have different affects on us, no one is the same.
Some quite strong and others less so. Everyone is
different.

again you just capture such feeling with your pieces...there is often grace unseen...there are those who just seem to blend in and we miss what they have to offer, their own magic.
but here you are thrown by her, affected by her...love the image of the kitten against the wall, brutal as it is it works here.
my favorite lines though: "in the night, frozen under/ Stars, haloed with steam"
i picture an extremely cold night in Germany, tracks in the snow...and that locomotive running off into the distance...and her face slowly disappearing from sight, but not memory.
