A Poem by Leslie Philibert
"

empty pictures

"
Mantis girl, all legs and arms,
a mess of open wounds.Too
many mouths open,too many
blank eyes. Femina juvenilia.
A pink heap in front of a
secret room,filled with stuffies
and unread words.No story,
no strings,a body opened like
a bruised pet. You are a shell,
painted, seen but not understood.
You have failed to be immortal.

There is so much truth in this write. The younger generation in my own family are copies of this. Why can't they see the real picture of themselves. Valentine

Empty and hurting inside; nowhere to turn, no-one to trust.

Another reviewer has said this disturbs; so it does, and so it should, there are so many that suffer in this way.

Beccy.

Impressive write, very powerful images of pain, emptiness and distortion. Too much focus on oneself?
Very impressive writing.

You are very welcome.
There is something inherently disturbing about this image. Which is obviously what you intended. Remarkable.
