I remember that day

An afternoon of dark flowers,

Werner told me,

                         there were bad men in flight.

Then we sat in a broken circle,

                         as if the air was forbidden

                         with  stopped time,

                         the room choked with dust.

yes, "the room choked with dust" and i was watching wgn news report and actually saw the second plane go into the other tower...i felt the dust, i cringed at the heights from which people were jumping from the towers...what an awful day....will never forget it...very dark flowers.

All remember that afternoon , what they doing, what happened. I was at work, and in the break we started to talk about what was happening, and I remember these moments often.
