Floating

I floated about

Searching for an identity 

And landed upon the life of a friend

I thought they needed me to help them mend

I lost myself amongst their pain 

Inside my heart came the rain

I sacrificed my sense of self

For absolutely everyone else

Perhaps I went too far with that

Didn't have to wear that hat

It's time to leave that life behind

Release the person from inside
