This Fear

This Fear

A Poem by LeslieNoel

Fatigue

I feel the tired

pulling me under,

heavier and thicker,

like gathering thunder.

I have run the marathon to reach the goal,

while my patience and energy have taken a toll.

I’m limited in the things I can control,

but along with the punches, I continue to roll.

The little things start to pile up,

consequently overflowing my cup.

I take some rest when I see fit,

digging myself out from under this pit.

New challenges keep coming my way,

and I’m trying to meet them at the end of the day.
