Nature's VoiceA Poem by LeslieNoelNature’s Voice I can hear the crickets on the cold night air, interlacing with the soft patter of raindrops. It’s a comfortable moment from the cocoon of blankets spread haphazardly across my bed. I listen. I listen beyond the scratchiness of the crickets’ voices and to what they are communicating. The trees say so much as they bend and sway in the gentle wind. It blows up past the sycamores and pine, towards the night sky to kiss the stars, divine. It’s as if their twinkles speak loud and clear: there’s nothing to fear in my safe place here. © 2025 LeslieNoel |
