A MistakeA Poem by LeslieNoelA Mistake She realized she had messed up. The floor disappeared beneath her feet- like an elevator cable snapping. Arms flapping as she fell. Too late to tell where she might land- hopefully in a soft pile of sand instead of man-made concrete. Break her feet, crumple into a pile, all the while biting back the torment from an affliction with an edge of distinction- sharp and exact. © 2025 LeslieNoel |
