TrustA Poem by LeslieNoelTrust There is an ugly truth I hide, one that I deem as soul-sucking. I wish I could camouflage it- then I would throw it in the hamper so it may hide in the dirty clothes bin. It’s a sin, my one true vice. Nemesis. A needing. Call it a desire: smoke, ash, and fire. Burns until I open my mouth, and then out come the words- popping like kernels in their frenzied fashion. Rushed, splaying and spraying about until satiated. They come to rest on the ears of another, and then I turn, my mind blown asunder. Trust. © 2025 LeslieNoel |
