Discomfort

Discomfort

A Poem by LeslieNoel

Discomfort

The silence sits like a swarm of black-

black like the walls of a tornado,

soil and debris stacked

and caked within its density.

Crack it with the sound of my voice,

cut it with the prick of a paper clip,

dissolved into its personal black hole,

whipping silently around the room,

coming to rest upon you-

and only you.
