A Poem by LeslieNoel

Stranger

I look across the table

at a face I once knew.

The hair is the same,

and so are the eyes-

but, much to my surprise,

they are hidden in disguise.

Instead, there I see contempt;

I’m seen as the enemy

to the fullest extent.
