Smoking is Good for You!

Smoking is Good for You!

A Poem by Letemdangle
"

Selling the lie

"

For many years smoking was healthful,

cool and dignified to do.

The cigarette with all it's poison,

was sold by those we loved and trusted.

Even babies would ask their mothers

to smoke certain brands.

Many doctors, nurses and dentists,

sold the noxious weed.

Fred Flintstones and Barny Rubble,

said smoking was sure to please.

Ronald Reagan quipped,

he sent cartons of  Chesterfield cigarettes

to all his friends at Christmas time.

I am skeptical of any big push,

on any idea that people in trust,

would have us believe.

Now scientists and politicians,

Say the world heats up,

when ever I sneeze.

In schools children are taught these ideas,

and just as the baby sells cigarettes,

to the young mother, so to do children

sell man made global warming to me.

This is not an argument,

for or against man made global warming,

just an example of a phenomenon.

A good con man is a man you trust,

he can do irreparable damage to you.

The more you trust him

the more vulnerable you are.

Bernard Madoff   and Charles Ponzi

were highly trusted charming men

who did a lot of damage.

Just something to consider,

"the snake charmer owns the snake".

My best achievement in life is never having killed anyone. My nickname is not to make you think I am morbid, I use it as a symbol of injustice. Let him dangle is a song about injustice from Elvis Cos.. more..
