Meagre Living

Meagre Living

A Poem by Letemdangle
"

Man has Incredible Adaptability.

Each day is a precious gift.
My life a torturous rift.

The sun rises and brings the hope.
Then it falls and I begin to grope.

A man stands courageously against the horizon.
He then goes mad as it fades into darkness.

What sustains him yet another day,
Is morning's dew, first sweet kiss.

If a man can find solace
in a sun that never shines on him.

Then is it any wonder
he gains comforts
from a Camel's sweet warm piss?

harsh, disparaging almost even with the funny twist, but such is life as we know.

I'm not a huge fan of the awkward rhyme scheme, but you did an excellent job with the wording, and the theme is very good.

This was beautiful, funny, and sad, you did an outstanding job.

The ending makes this both funny and very sad. Sad, because many people who do have the money and... comforts don't give a s**t for those bathing with camel piss.
