Calling out to God

Carry me through the midst of anarchy
Help me glide through difficulties with ease,
Take me to the land of perpetual euphoria
Stay with me for as long as I live
foresake me not

By my side you shall walk
and light up my wake,
lest I stumble and fall
Let no wicked man crowd me in my space
foresake me not

When evil besets me
foresake me not
When love rejects me
foresake me not

Hold me
Keep me in your sight
lest I get lost
Place me in your light
darkness terrifies me

Keep me grounded
for life's variety tempts me
The devil tests me
but you protect me

You guide me
You foresake me not
