Can't You See?

Can't You See?

A Poem by Alexa Tarvid

Look at her,
You are hurting her,
You can't decide,
Pulled between two different lives,
But look at her,
Look at how beautiful she is,

You pull her close,
You hold her tight,
But tonight she's not the one in your bed,
Tonight you'll devote your sweet words to someone else,

You can't decide,
But she deserves a decision,
All of you or none of you,
You are hurting her,
Cant you see it?

She waits for you,
For your words and your touch,
She hangs on your love,
Or what it should be,

And tonight she'll be alone,
While you hold someone else close,
Because you love them both,
You can't decide,
And you've tangled yourself in both their lives,

They are both waiting,
You are hurting them,
Can't you see?
Because you can't make a decision,
Even when that's what they deserve.
