Hidden is this broken heart,
Lost is my ability to inspire,
And all because I fell in love,
Lost is my ability to desire.

Where did I make mistakes,
Lost is my ability to cry,
I watch you from across the room,
Lost is my ability to try.

She sweeps you up in heartfelt embrace,
Lost is my ability of control
I leave the room, a forgotten girl,
Lost is the key to my soul.

You notice me through the halls,
Regret flashes as you hover above,
I give you a sad glance in return,
Lost is my ability to love.
