Human shell

Human shell

A Poem by Liana

Basic survival, Love, creativity within and from others,

a blank page…I’m wondering…

what else do I need?

Even though you tell me I need much, I’m choosing

to evolve without consuming...

and I’ll fill thousands of blank pages with words you will never understand.

I’ll try to love everyone, for the souls behind the stage act…

and ill smile always,

through this production we’re calling the ‘human condition’.

When I shut my eyes I can feel nature, I can feel my soul

and even though you know not the words I write ,

I can see you, smiling back at me.

I can see the audience comfortable and amused at my smile and yours,

But I can’t paint my shell anymore…

I just have to bare my soul and show you what’s inside.

As the curtains draw, the lights dim and

applause rattles my human shell...

And "NOW Ladies and Gentlemen..."

now this is real!

A rusty window, a jagged old wine bottle, white lilies vibrating with Vivaldi and a pot I dislike filled with flowers I do… this is enough to stir the inspiration inside my waters and it pours .. more..
