Little tiger On the Circus Floor.

Little tiger On the Circus Floor.

A Poem by Liana
"

He must know I'm writing about him, his eyes light up like a firey tiger and his paw chases my words as they unfold accross the page.... a restless energy that inspires the purr in me and my poetry!

"

This morning’s sunlight comes in.

It’s so bright; it clouds my eyes to hazy and the room a coffee brown.

The kitten purrs under a big top tune.

He chases smoke and reflections,

and shadow birds, made from sunshine, my hands,

and an outside that he doesn’t know.

A little tiger, never in the wild,

but prowling this indoor circus floor…

Dusty from the haze,

and hot from the sunlight; his spotlight.

He roars, “Reeeeew”

And the audience roars back!

His tiger lines dance,

and he chases things he’s curious about…

He will never know why,

but he continues to circle, and entertain us on this circus floor…

A rusty window, a jagged old wine bottle, white lilies vibrating with Vivaldi and a pot I dislike filled with flowers I do… this is enough to stir the inspiration inside my waters and it pours .. more..
