Magical Rain Child

A fictional free verse poem, if that's what you'd call this poem

Step, step, step
Splash, splash, splash

It’s raining and I have my umbrella

My beautiful and magnificent umbrella

That I’ve had for over 1000 years

I have now turned 1100

And tomorrow is my first day of school

Step, step, step

Splash, splash, splash

I smile
Then my umbrella flies away!

I jump up and fly to the umbrella

It goes into a portal
Now I’m in another world

Creative. I like the idea of splashing in puddles but to be swept away into the sky holding an umbrella is my wacky idea of heaven :)
