I'll Wait

I'll wait for an eternity or even longer, if that's what it takes.... if that's what it takes for you to notice how much I love you.

You’ll never know

how deep my love runs

I can feel it pulsing within me,

threatening to spill

to rise above the surface

and expose itself

in it’s true form;

a fiery phoenix

burning with passion.

If you are happy,

then so am I;

even if I’m not the cause.

I’ll watch you with a smile…

brush away my silent tears…

and I’ll wait.

I’ll wait for an eternity-

I’ll wait until the day you see

how much I care for you

Surely more than anyone else…

…even if that day never comes.

I’ll be here

waiting

watching

if you’re happy I’m happy

I promise.

I’m okay, 

really.

But then,

why

won’t

my

tears

stop?
