The article and Pickens

It is a fanfiction from the Riverdale series- obviously nothing professional- but I tried really hard.

Betty knew she was going to be in trouble with Principal Honey if she didn't write a new article. And it wasn't that she couldn't, it was that she felt she owed it to Toni- and all of the South Side Serpents- to tell the people of Riverdale the true story of the man they call legend, General Pickens. That he was responsible for the massacre of the men, women, elderly, and children of the Uktena tribe. That he stole their land. That he thought himself glorious and honorable. So much so that he named a day and festival after himself. And, though extraordinarily obvious, that he brainwashed an entire town to think that he was a hero. Worst of all, those who knew stayed quiet. Betty knew that she, head of Riverdale High's school newspaper, deemed the Blue & Gold, didn't speak up no one would. After all, history does repeat itself, doesn't it?
