We prepare,

For an impending journey.

We are afraid to start,

Yet don't know if we can.

We forget that every journey,

Even the one of a thousand miles,

Begins with but a,

Single step.

I agree, you need to take a step to have a start. When you don't move you'll nowhere and you'll never begin the journey that one must take to find something they are looking for.
