I Think I Can

Remember the story,

About that little engine?

The one that wasn't sure if it would make it,

Up the mountain.

We look at the mountains in our life,

And say 'no way!"

When all we have to do,

Is believe in ourselves.

It's simple really,

All we have to do is try.

I think I can...

What to you think you can do?

My mother read that story to me when I was I small child. For a long time, I believed nothing was impossible if I wanted it hard enough; I still believe that, except I know that sometimes the energy required is more than I want to give. Thanks for sharing, charly

I remember The Little Engine that Could. Wow, talk about nostalgia. I love how you use to juxtapose with the moral of the poem. I often find myself looking at that mountain, and thinking that I can climb it...tomorrow. Luckily, my new year's resolution is to actually climb the mountain when I see it.
