Falls Awakening

Oh how depression hits hard,

laying in bed it caught me off guard.

Fall has awakened the demons inside,

I am barely treading in the darkness' tide.

Can anybody hear me?

I'm drifting at sea,

floating endlessly.

Each of these lines could be expanded on, I think. Maybe not. I don't know. I guess I just wanted to hear more about the sea and the demons. Those are great things to write about. "depression hits hard" is a good opening. it's a landed punch. keep writing. thanks for the read.

- I chose to review this because my street is called The Falls Road. The season Fall is associated of course with SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) which can kickstart depression that lasts for months until early Spring. Im sorry Im so like you in this respect :/

Thank you! Yes, i know of SAD unfortunately i am bipolar type 2; so i swing from up up up to down down down. but usually the fall and winter just make me extra sad. Thank you for your words, cheers !

The rhyme pattern is great. I think its interesting how you relate seasonal changes to emotional changes. Each season has its own mood I suppose.

"Depression" is the true feeling of heart that`s manipulated by the mind to get burst out into words. The title`s too very cool to move alon`.. into the depth of this poem. Nice imagery!
