The Whispers Of Angels

I wrote this poem a long time ago and whilst it is no way near to being a fantastic piece of writing in anyway I am very fond of it and believe in its message.....

Out of the darkness came incredible light; It's warmth pulled me closer and held on to me so tight

I didn't know where I was going, or where my journey would end; Yet I felt no fear or panic, for light seemed like a friend

I walked through eternities and saw people that I once knew; Their love reached out and touched me, my heart rose high then flew

In the distance I could see a garden, its beauty far beyond compare; beautiful flowers grew in abundance and butterflies danced in mid air

A fountain stood proud in the centre, a cascade of shimmering light; I could hear the whispers of Angels though their presence was beyond my sight

I wanted to remain in this paradise but a voice told me I couldn't stay; I was to return to where I had come from, the light would show me the way

I felt so sad to leave this place, for it was here my spirit felt free to roam; but this voice kept telling me it wasn't my time and I had to go back home

It was then that I saw a stranger, lying quite motionless from what I could see; A lady with my features, a stranger that turned out to be me.....

A beautiful poem of biblical proportions. I like the idea of some people as angels. I wonder if again the new letters were gathered into a book if we'd step out of the darkness and into the truth. Two-thousand years seemed like quite a time without another revelation. Thank you.
