Lend Me Your HeartA Poem by Little BirdieA humble wish. How about
you lend me your heart? I'm a rather bad ruler, I could never be a queen. Still, I bet there are wrongs I can make right. Well, lend me your heart So I can see the world from a better perspective where every flower is a song and each colour a note. Your lively spark awakens mine From its deep slumber. It awes me how something so abused and ignored Beats not because living is a chore, but a privilege, And love not a limitation But a vast grey sky. Uneven, uncertain, but still a joy, something beyond what I can understand. Please, lend me your heart and maybe I'll know how to feel The scent of daffodils and every summer storm And maybe I won't run away From a hug Or spray graffiti over the stone walls That I myself have arisen. Show me what you see And maybe I'll look forward to a new day For uncertainty, And not for routine. © 2011 Little BirdieFeatured Review
