Crumbs

Crumbs

A Poem by Amber "Victoriomantic" Hart
"

A quick poem about a quick-fix wish for problem-solving.

"

I wish

That problems could be swept away

Like toast crumbs from a counter-top

Brushed to the floor to disappear from sight.

You know they're still there

And stand on them occasionally

But then they're just a nuisance

And an annoyance.

And eventually, when you've forgotten about them

They just get swept up

And taken out with the trash.

I won't lie. I wrote this in about three minutes while waiting for my toast to pop out of the toaster.

Nice poem about crumbs. Most people would just ignore this kinda thing in their daily life, but not you. God job!

Oh, how many can relate to this. Nice metaphor that articulates your message in a great way. If only life were this simple.

I enjoyed reading.

Thank you very much!
A very nice thought ! Life would be so much more pleasant if problems could indeed be brushed off into the trash so easily.....would like to be able to do that to a particular situation currently. For a quick write.....nice insight.
