I like where you're going with the first statement but the second seems unfinished in a way. To me at least, it's not clear where you're going with it. It might be clearer to the reader if you choose different punctionation or reorder the words. Another suggestion I have is to explain why the blades are writing the books tonight because I think the beautiful imagery you've created shouldn't be lost in muddled causality
