My Special Garden

About cutting

Microscopic seeds,
Bathed in poison,
Burry themselves
Beneath my skin.

They shelter in my brain.
They feed from my serotonin.
They travel through my neurons
And embed in my blood.

Sprouts are warning,
Full blossom is deadly.
Thoughts form petals,
Feelings shape leaves,
Flashbacks survive in roots.

Tending to the garden
I dig rows of red,
Releasing the venom
From the “soil.”

Blankets of white
Patch the “ground,”
Healing the open
Trenches.
