Heavier than air

lies the silent dichotomy

of suicidal birth

I was hesitant to read this tonight because it is 4AM and I really should get to sleep, but I accidentally clicked and figured it was short enough to merit a review now.

My first reaction is that this poem met haiku in a back alley and told it to f**k off. I am intrigued by the concept of suicidal birth. I think that's probably a good description for how I am going to feel in a couple of hours when I wake up to go to work.

A phenomenal use of wording. I really enjoyed this work of art very much. You should submit it to my contest for Symbolism.

We produce it, yet it's what kills us! Not even mechanically but biologically...got me thinking for a while. Nice one!

Yay, John, you got it! Yeah, basically, that's what I was trying to say. There's also another meaning, more 'dramatic', but one of the meanings is perfectly described in your words.

Holy s**t! This was a slap in the senses. My take on this is: the polluted earth is a slow suicide for the newly born. Let me know if I'm remotely close.

Jarring, excellent work.
